I have read 3 books this week ~ crazy!
I started out with Beautiful Redemption, the last novel in the Beautiful Creatures series. I was satisfied with the book, and I gave it a 4/5 stars on Goodreads. My only complaint is throughout the whole series I felt the same problem reoccurred in every book. We all kept worrying about Lena's next birthday or some moon or Sarafine and in every book it just seemed like the problem was reworded. But I still thought it was written beautifully and I definitely still recommend the series.
Next was Graceling which is the first of its series. Let's just say I fell in loveee. I fell in love with Prince Po and his charming ways and admired Katsa, our main heroine, in this story. The emotions was what really got me in the story. Katsa comes off as a woman who is very guarded and doesn't let anyone see her loveable or sensitive side. When she meets Po that wall slowly comes down, and the author does a brilliant job of showing that weakening of Katsa's inner emotions. I'm greatly looking forward to the next book, Fire.
The third book I read this week was Wicked Lovely, another first book in its series. I read this book in about a day and a half. From the beginning I was drawn in because its all about faeries and I love me a good faerie story! The Summer King is who I'm currently shipping Aislinn, the main character, with, but my ship has not sailed in the first book I'm sad to say. I'm ecstatic to get my hands on the second book, Ink Exchange, and hope it arrives at the library this weekend! It reminded me very much of The Iron Fey series which made me super happy, since I recommend that series on a daily basis and to this day continue to rave about it!
On top of Fire and Ink Exchange, I reserved the first book in the Vampire Academy series, Vampire Academy. I've heard raving reviews, so I guess my expectations are high! But we'll see if its everything people have measured it up to be.

The Gone Series and Upcoming Reads
Last night I stayed up late and successfully finished Light by Michael Grant. I couldn't be any happier with how he ended the Gone series and I'm satisfied with its ending. Once again Grant scared the crap out of me with his evil characters and battles. Gaia was one of the scariest characters I've ever encountered in a book, and she/it (whatever you prefer) scared me till the very end.
Now I'm waiting on a few books at the library. The first one is Beautiful Redemption, the last book in the Caster Chronicles (Beautiful Creatures for those of you who don't know the technical name). The next one is Graceling, the first book in the Graceling Realm series. I'm going to delve into the Wicked Lovely series as well with the first novel, Wicked Lovely. I'm excited to start all of them and I'll keep you updated.
I know I'm going to begin with Beautiful Redemption since I recently finished Beautiful Chaos, the third novel. Lately I have been finishing up a lot of series so I've been paying a lot of attention to endings. I love (and sometimes hate) how authors make their endings. A few weeks ago I completed the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy. At the end of the last book, I was outraged. It was a total cliffhanger. But I realize that authors often like to end their novels or series with an ending that can be interpreted by the reader. As a reader, I don't like that, but I know many do. I want the endings to be all lollipops and unicorns so I can go on with my day with a sense that my favorite fictional characters are living the rest of their lives happily ever after. I'm hoping Beautiful Redemption will do that for me.
Now I ask you, what do you think? Do you like endings that are up for interpretation or do you like an ending, like me, that is rainbows are butterflies? Or, I guess, do you like unhappy endings? If so, I'd love to know why because that's kind of odd, at least in my opinion (;
Have a fantabulous day (:
